The PVDF (Polyvinylidene fluoride)
12 February 2020 | News
When common plastics such as PVC, CPVC, PP can’t do the work, PVDF is the go-to.
PVDF is a high-performance polymer, part of the fluoropolymer family which also counts PTFE, FEP, ECTFE, PFA, FKM to only name a few.The main advantages:
Resistant to almost all chemical products;
Operating temperatures: -20°C to 140°C;
Resistant to U.V. rays;
Mechanical strength;
Abrasion resistance.
The joining methods:
Flange;
Butt fusion;
Socket fusion;
Threads;
Sanitary adapter;
Compression;
Barbs.
The approvals:
USP 25 Class VI;
FDA CFR 21 177.2510;
UL 723 ASTM E-84;
FM-4910.
Cy-Bo Plastics proposes many products made of PVDF: tanks, valves, tubes, pipes, fittings, pumps, instruments and ventilation ducts.
